Save Darfur Canada (SDC) is a not-for-profit organization uniting and coordinating Darfur advocacy efforts across the country. Donations are essential to our survival, and we are incredibly grateful for fundraising efforts and individual contributions in support of our work.
Tax receipts
Save Darfur Canada is a not-for-profit organization, but does not qualify for charitable status under Canadian law, because our work is advocacy based. This unfortunately means that donations to SDC are not tax-deductible. If you would like to be issued a receipt for your donation, please let us know.
Where SDC's money goes
100% of money donated goes directly towards supporting Canadian Darfur advocacy! Most of our resources are directed towards running campaigns to pressure the Canadian government to do more about the situation in Darfur. Recently, we have been looking for donations to cover the printing of postcards for our national postcard campaign. It costs $25-35 for each 1,000 postcards printed.
